Real MTB Wedding || Hannah + Ian
Y'all! We couldn't let February pass without highlighting another one of our darling Meant to Be brides. The slow but sure transition to spring has us dreaming of warmer weather and warmer weddings. Hannah and Ian's day features gorgeous spring colors, equestrian touches, and, of course, lots of love. Keep reading to hear their sweet story, see photos from their wedding day, and learn which vendors made the magic happen!
Can you give us a glimpse into you & your hubs's love story?
We were technically set up by my mom as she worked with Ian at the time. I had a few conversations with him before he got my number and took me out on our first date. We knew pretty quickly that we wanted to get married so he proposed 8 months later and we were married exactly one year after we started dating (it wasn't planned that way!)
What was it about your dress that made you realize it was "the one?"
I've always liked strapless dresses. I knew I had to find a dress quickly since we were getting married in four months. I loved the back of the dress and when I tried it on, it fit perfectly! Hardly any alterations were needed so I knew it was 'Meant to Be'. The great service and bright smiles at Meant to Be made me want to buy my dress there
What is your favorite memory from your wedding day?
My favorite memory from our wedding day was right before our send-off when our DJ had everyone circle around us as we danced one final dance to "All my Life" by K-Ci and JoJo. It was humbling to see all of the people we loved supporting us in our next chapter of life as husband and wife.
What has been the best thing about marriage so far?
The best thing about marriage so far has been the blessing of having my best friend by my side always encouraging, pursuing, challenging and loving me well.
Any pieces of wisdom or advice you'd like to share with future brides, engaged gals, or newlyweds like yourself?
We did not regret having a 4 month engagement, in fact, we wish it could have been shorter! Keep things simple and enjoy the time you get preparing to become husband and wife! We really enjoyed our marriage counseling and the wisdom of our mentors - definitely seek that out! There are so many people that want to see your marriage succeed.
