It never gets old when we see wedding photos from a sweet MTB bride’s wedding day. We are like proud mamas seeing how beautiful each bride looks and how all the details we talked about while they were in the store ended up coming together to create their perfect wedding day. We’re so excited to share Hannah and Taylor’s wedding day with you today! Hannah and Taylor had a worship song as part of their ceremony just like I did, and it was so sweet to see those photos and be reminded of my own wedding day memories incorporating our faith into our day. Hannah and Taylor, we wish you the best and are so thankful to have you as part of the MTB family!

Can you give us a glimpse into you & your hubs's love story?
My husband and I met at my first job, LifeWay Christian Bookstore in 2015. We quickly became best friends and hit it off very easily. We stayed friends for about a year, before Taylor told me that he had feelings for me, but he told me that if I didn’t feel the same that he didn’t want anything to change... I friend-zoned him... hard. But I realized that there were feelings there that I hadn’t addressed. He was actually everything I had prayed for in a man. We started dating about 3 months later and never looked back. Dating your best friend is the sweetest gift! Fast forward to the end of August 2017, we had a weekend getaway to Nashville planned for my birthday! I didn’t think a thing about him proposing on that trip, but he surprised me! We had just finished eating at Puckett’s BBQ (the best) and went for a walk. We stopped in the public library and happened to stumble across a courtyard that was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! He got down on one knee and I was in complete shock! We had a year long engagement with planning and joy and we were married September 6, 2018.
What was it about your dress that made you realize it was "the one?"
1. I felt beautiful and empowered. I prayed over the dress and thought about it over the weekend... I was the last appointment for the day and left “knowing” it was the one, but decided to think it over. I actually drove across the street, told my sister-in-law, Katie, and my mom that I had to go buy it right then, but the girls were locking up! Needless to say, I called as soon as I could and bought my dream dress. It was perfect.
2. It wasn’t what I expected to wear AT ALL. After trying 6 dresses, I went back to the first. I told myself I did NOT want a strapless dress... guess what I wore... a strapless dress. There was just something about the beauty, the elegance, and how delicate it was that was just absolutely amazing. I just couldn’t believe how perfect it was.
3. The patience of the bridal consultants, the genuine kindness, and the huge help they were. Truly I will recommend Meant to Be time and time again because of how well they do their job. I felt welcomed, and they went above and beyond!!! I’m so thankful for them!
What is your favorite memory from your wedding day?
Taylor and I wanted a worship portion of our ceremony. It was by far the best part of our day. One of my good friends played and lead Reckless Love by Cory Asbury. Inviting the Lord in and worshiping Him was the sweetest memory. The whole day was my favorite, but my second favorite was dancing with my Father. I cannot thank him enough for how much he’s done for me. I bawled the whole way through our Father/Daughter dance.
What has been the best thing about marriage so far?
Being able to come home every day to the one I love... We also got a Comfort Retriever puppy, Talia, and we just adore her. She’s our kid!
Any pieces of wisdom or advice you'd like to share with future brides, engaged gals, or newlyweds like yourself?
Don’t let the little things stress you, it all comes together. Hire a wedding coordinator. Be present. Be Patient. And be a listener! Living with someone isn’t all rainbows and sunshine! It takes a lot of communication and work, but it is so worth it!
