Staff Favorites

By: Taylor Clark

Happy New Year, MTB Family! 2018 was a year of change for our sweet shoppe, and we feel so blessed to have had so many exciting opportunities to grow as a small business. On top of adding so many exciting new ventures to our business, we also welcomed so many beautiful faces to our Meant To Be Family. We find such joy in serving our brides, and we want to shout THANK YOU from every rooftop in the Lexington area to everyone who helped us ring in our third year. As a special treat (for us as much as y’all), we wanted to do our annual “Staff Favorites” post to highlight the gowns that our owners and staff members simply adore! So without further ado, here are our 2019 picks, courtesy of the Twirl Girls as well as the Meant To Be Gals.

Ty: Heidi Elnora “Stella Darling”

“I love this dress because it mixes a classic and boho style with the gorgeous long-sleeve lace and chiffon skirt! It is simple and elegant and is perfect for the bride who wants to relax and enjoy her wedding but still feel gorgeous at the same time.”

Liz: Hayley Paige “Vaughn”

“I loved this dress the moment I saw it on the runway at bridal market. I’m a sucker for capsleeves and a good A-line silhouette…the 3D floral detail throughout the bodice and skirt is the cherry on top for me!”

Emily: Heidi Elnora “Sunny Darling”

“I love the boho vibes this dress gives off with the lace cap sleeve and full open back. The flowy chiffon skirt looks like it’s just waiting to be in a field of wild flowers. It’s unique but still simple, so the bride in it will be the highlight!”

“After Meghan Markle’s stunning wedding dress, simplicity has inspired the latest bridal trends. I’m a sucker for a simple dress, so this crepe ballgown immediately caught my eye. I’m obsessed with the structure and clean lines of it and how those features are balanced with the daintiness of off-the-shoulder straps.”

Amelia: Hayley Paige “Leighton”

“I love the simple satin of this dress paired with the more modern skirt. I’m loving the strapless neckline on brides recently, and I love the contrast of the ruching and ruffles!”

Ashton: Amy Kuschel “Babe”

“I love the crocheted lace on this dress. It gives it a vintage, handmade look that is so timeless. This dress is well-made and structured beautifully. It’s made to flatter the feminine figure. This dress’s simplicity and thoughtful details make it a versatile pick. I could see it on a boho bride, in a garden wedding, or at a historic Southern venue.”

Taylor: Justin Alexander "8970D”

“I am so obsessed with this silk dupion ballgown. My style has always been very minimal, so I was immediately drawn to the overall simplicity of this dress. The buttons all the way down the train and the keyhole back are such timeless features, while the plunging illusion neckline adds just enough sass to bring this traditional style into the contemporary realm. And y’all, can we all just take a moment to admire the breadth of that train?! I mean, come on!”
